Are you passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience by troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of Vermeer and other heavy equipment? We’re looking for a self-starter who enjoys hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures or malfunctions to reduce customer downtime
  • Test repaired equipment for performance and reliability
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all customer equipment
  • Review factory service bulletins and other pertinent information to ensure equipment is up to date
  • Convey a professional presence that aligns with the value we bring to the customer
  • Ensure problems are tactfully explained and the customer is satisfied
  • Prepare job estimates in accordance with work schedules and promised completion dates
  • Maintain a familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment

What we are looking for

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong communication skills and desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Detail-orientated, consistently going above and beyond to deliver high-quality work
  • Strong Hydraulic, Electrical, and Mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Apprentice preferred
  • Previous experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Prepare job estimates in accordance with work schedules and promised completion dates, effects necessary mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic repairs, as required
  • Maintain a familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment
  • Ensures Ministry of Transportation requirements are adhered to, including daily logs and trip inspections
  • Maintains and leaves all work areas clean, unobstructed, in a safe and orderly working condition
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on Health and safety
  • Attends and participates in toolbox/safety meetings

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, Case and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license. Class 3 or 5 preferred.

What you will do

  • Facilitate a positive customer experience by handling all parts inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring they are maintained in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Ensure parts facilities and displays are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Manage the parts purchase order process, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up on promised delivery dates.
  • Ensure all manuals and parts guides are up to date, acting as a liaison with the factory.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

What we are looking for

  • Ambitious and goal-oriented, with interpersonal skills needed to meet sales objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite.
  • Prior general sales experience, preferably in parts distribution.
  • Journeyman or apprentice parts technician.
